When you are in your life, live it here and now, because it’s the only time and place that exists at all. Love your life, love all that you know, all that you can perceive and all that is surrounding you. Appearently you are surrounded by nature, by other people, by problems, by the weather, and by so many other things you believe in. So, what do I mean by “Love”?

By love I don’t mean that you have to love your spouse, your car, your husband, your house and all the things that might be so beautiful in life, nor do I not. By love I mean that you agree to be here and now, and that you can see that there is no other time and place to go than here and now, anyway. To love means to be here and now without any other excuses, without any doubt but with your presence which knows that it has no other place and time, but here and now. Not even having a choice to make: that is real freedom, peace, and thus love. But even though, you can say that you love all that surrounds you, all times and centuries, each and every person you meet, all the wonderful plants and flowers, animals and even the buildings and the cities you live in, and last but not least the pure nature. You might also admire some famous persons, arts and movies, that appear in your life – all that is fine. But understand this: This is all worth to think of, because you are that which is seen, admired, loved, choosen and enjoyed – all there is is all there is, and THAT IS YOU.

TheFieldIn this YOU, you can set goals for your life that come true, can plan the future by figuring it out, earn a lot of money and spend time to reach that goal. But look at this: There is no real future nor is there a past, there is no space in which you can move on, nor is there no space and no time. They are all concepts and pictures in the mind. The future doesen’t really exist because there is no point of which you can say that it exists. When you search for a position or a spot in the future, there will be only now, only now in your present experience – nothing else. The same is when you go back into the past (I mean you can’t), there is also no point that marks it, nor is there a line that leads to future or past. It is just a concept, really. Time and space only exist in the mind – and the mind itself is space and time. So what is the substance? …. no substance!! Just consiousness.

So, let’s go a step further if possible. The only thing (not even a thing) with time that may exist is a “function” with two different directions. First: towards that which might be going to happen in a future and second: that which seemed to be happened already (in the past). Therefore, there are only directions in which our awareness or attention is pointed to. So, the future and the past are only directions of the “mind-not-willing” to be present.

So, when you get that, you will also lose the present because there is no present. A present which is discribed is not present any longer, and so you can say, that, to have no present, you have no mind either. And that which is left is just this – and that is WHAT YOU ARE.

It’s the same understanding with space. When you move your body from one point to another, you imagined yourself to be at a different place before you had moved there. But, by just being “that”, you feel and see no difference, because of losing your mind the moment you move. That what you might feel and see anyway is a different environment, different landscape, different people, different buildings and so on and on and on…

…But this is all noticed by the little observer, called “me” or “I” or an objectifed subject, which is called a person with a body.

And after all, this is all wonderful and there is no reason left to reject all this. And yet: this is what is called the “illusion” or “Maya” in Hinduism. Maya in its function means that “I am” but there is no one to find anywhere at any time, nor has anyone ever been existing.
